How are young kindergarteners actually introduced to writing their names, or even the alphabet? Most educationists throughout the world believe that the first tools used to teach writing to children aren't particular pens, markers or crayons. They believe that children should be taught using a multi-sensory approach. The most common approach used first is to get the children to write letters in the air first. These large muscle movements help children process what they are writing and make it more likely to stick.
Our game provides a child with a way to visually associate their physical movements in an entertaining game, using the story of a baby alien, Kaju.
The Leap Motion Controller can track fingers, or kids can use hold a pencil in their hands to draw letters on the screen. Grab hold of Kaju and drop him on the cloud of your choice to navigate through the 4 main gameplay options.
At any point you may quickly wave your hands, or press "Escape" to quit the current stage of the game you are in.
